I have always dreamt of caring for animals for as long as I can remember. My goal all through school was to become a vet and I was on track to start studying for my vet degree at university but I was introduced to a different side of animal care and my career path took me to becoming a zookeeper for about 8 years. I worked with koalas, reptiles and farm animals and learnt some valuable handling and identification skills.

My career path then changed again and I started my vet nursing career in 2020. This role is fulfilling, interesting and always a little bit different and I actually enjoy coming to work. My favourite parts are building relationships with our patients and learning about all the various ailments that our furry friends can be affected by and how they can be treated.

When I’m not working I will be raising my family and keeping as active as I can. I enjoy training and walking my dog, visiting creeks and swimming holes and bushwalks and running after my kids.
